CHROME WEB LAB
Web Lab was a cutting edge, year-long interactive exhibit that showcased the incredible–yet often invisible–workings of the modern Internet with an array of interactive, web-connected robotic experiments.
It was the first exhibit of its kind: it was equally accessible to online audiences as it was to museum visitors, and both groups were considered in parallel throughout the design and development process.
Web Lab was more than a museum showcase; it was a collaborative space. Museum visitors and online visitors alike composed together on giant musical instrument machines, had their faces drawn in sand pits by robotic arms, teleported to distant spaces through 360° periscopes, interacted with live data paths on a world map, and much more.
