When you discover for the first time the Bell & Ross watch in collaboration with the Rafale the French fighter jet, you are immediately struck by their resemblance. They seem to have been made with the same alloy and coating...
Raphael Hache, the director, had the idea to propose a film that parallels the precision of the design of the watch with the curves of the plane. It was about making new type of “savoir faire” film : To give to the audience the feeling that owning this watch means having a piece of the Rafale. The idea with a project like this, was to break the classic codes of “savoir faire” film by focusing on the emotion and a strong visual to create a great storytelling. During two days in studio, we shot the watch and all the beauty shots. Then, we had on day to shoot the Rafale : It was imperative to control and save a real unity between the those two objects.
