After graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography in California, Richard Pierce moved to New York to cultivate his aspirations of becoming a still-life photographer. After working as an assistant for a few years, Richard landed his first assignment shooting cosmetic products for the newly launched American Elle magazine. Soon after, Richard became one of the founding contributors to W Magazine and shot numerous editorials for Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire and Vogue. Throughout his career, Richard has pioneered dozens of advertising campaigns for Clinique, Chantecaille, Estée Lauder, L’Oreal and M·A·C Cosmetics. Regarded as an industry leader in still-life photography, Richard takes his acclaim with stride and cherishes the many joyful opportunities that have accompanied his growing success.
