What was your very first job?
I was a teen model in New York and moonlighted as a babysitter.
Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails.
At McCann, I’m the Executive Producer on the L’Oreal account, and oversee all aspects of production for North American campaigns.
How and when did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Tell us how you got to where you are today.
I was involved in theater from a very early age, and loved seeing all the pieces come together in production. I was a theater major in college and then moved into fashion. I was involved in merchandising, managing stores, staging and commentating fashion shows. This led to my first opportunity as a freelance assistant producer and my introduction to the world of advertising.
In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?
I am constantly searching for new talents and techniques, new people and new ideas, and am excited by the ever-changing world and industry. I draw inspiration from the people I work with, exposure to all forms of art, and the places I travel.
If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be?
I had the opportunity to produce a brand campaign with a complete new approach for L’Oreal, in a very challenging timeline and budget. The project incorporated 34 wonderful personalities from all different backgrounds and disciplines. The campaign focused on emotion and vulnerabilities, which was a new and exciting approach for L’Oreal.
