1.)        What was your very first job? A Burger King located at a major highway rest stop in Massachusetts.  I remember my dad taking me for my work permit at 15 - #workethic.  I loved every second of working there, especially the drive up window—you never knew what’d you get. I can make a Whopper® in less than 30 seconds.

 

2.)        Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails. I’m an Executive Content Producer at R/GA in Chicago.  A creative producer at heart, I enjoy working closely with my team and creatives to push the work as far as possible and support the team and all the efforts to get there.  It entails focus, commitment, relentless collaboration and a true positive attitude.    

 

3.)        How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today?  I sat in a first round internal creative review as a 20 year old intern at Arnold WW in Boston.  To hear the raw, unadulterated ideas that were presented by creatives made me wonder what is possible as a producer.  The CDs were talking about taking over an entire runway with planes and dogs and tons of talent…all I wanted to do from that point on was learn how to make an idea like that come to life.  I started in the production department and stayed with it since.

 

4.)        In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant? Eyes wide open and phone down when I’m out and about.  The industry is changing, but so is the world.  As people are realizing what they’re missing out on IRL, the tangible world is getting more and more exciting.  Whether it’s interactive museums, goat yoga (if that’s your thing) or underground dinner parties—you can find new ways to connect.  Our work is inspired by life, so I try to keep living it.

 

5.)        If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be? I worked on this Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas video with the most collaborative team ever.  We decided to take major risks and all hold hands together from concept to execution.  There was Print, OOH, video, digital, 3d and major VFX work throughout…the work is so cool and “out there.”  I’m just so proud that the risks paid off.  The client has renewed it for several years.

 

6.)        Which creative disciplines do you commission most, and are most interested in seeing more of and why? (ie photo, film, social, experiential, vr, etc) I commission mainly film production teams.  I’d love to see more of what’s out there in the social world, but right now it’s Edit, Post, VFX, Production houses, music and audio that I mainly team up with.
