Photographer / director Benedict Redgrove’s career began in design, a foundation that is still evident in his image making which is renowned for its clean, graphic and sophisticated aesthetic. He has been a lifelong lover of innovation, technology and industry. Redgrove’s 20+year award-winning career has been established shooting global campaigns and editorials for major automotive and aeronautical companies. To counter balance his commercial projects, in his personal work he seeks out vast bodies of land, sky and sea. Through these endless vistas he sees both detail and beauty, focusing – often to the point of obsession – on subjects that sometimes verge on the banal. For the past few years he has been shooting a personal project, NASA - Past and Present Dreams of the Future. Stage 1 of this ambitious and epic project launched with a 16-page feature in WIRED UK. Seven years in the making, this is an extraordinary series of images of NASA's iconic crafts, suits, facilities and objects. "To me, there is no other organisation in the world that is more progressive, more exciting or stands more for the betterment of mankind and peace than NASA. Above all, it's the excitement and awe-inspiring dreams and realities of NASA's achievements that has driven me to undertake this project". The project is due for completion 2018/2019, with an exhibition and book planned.
