He is your direct partner for all your ideas and concerns, ensuring a perfect and timely production procedure for your project. Michael and his family are based in Zürich for over 18 years now.
Michael was born 1970 in Rheinhausen, Germany. At two years of age he moved to Brussels with his family where he spent his formative years. As a teenager he moved back to Germany where he graduated high school. At university, Michael studied Mining, but his irrepressible passion for film making was too strong and in 1992 he left university to pursue a career in commercial film production.
At this time, he worked for a multitude of commercial production companies in Hamburg as a producer. After studying at the New York Film School in 1994 Michael realised and honed his potential and passion for directing.
After returning to Hamburg he worked for a range of top commercials companies as Producer. In 2000 he moved to Zurich, Switzerland. The first 3 years he was employed as Producer by a local film production company. In 2003 he founded Snap film where he not only produced for other directors but established himself as a director in his own right with a very singular voice, directing commercials and corporate films.
In 2017 he became Managing Director of Jung von Matt/play where he creates and produce motion content and commercials with his team. In his career he developed high standard projects for national and international brands like SWISS, IBM, Mercedes-Benz, Nestlé, Credit Suisse, Opel, Mastercard, BMW, Swisscom, Audi, UNAIDS, Carlsberg, AXA Winterthur, Renault, Samsung, Mammut, Microsoft, Migros, PwC, Samsung with shootings all over the world.
Since he was 14 years of age Michaels other great passion was photography and it still is. His last exhibition was in January 2018 in Zurich which opened to much acclaim.
