What was your very first job? What does it feel like to look back at it now? 

My first job was in an atelier of architecture back in Lisbon while I was studying at the same time, Is been more than decade now and never thought I would be working in the creative industry crossing all different medias.

Please describe, in your own words, what your current job is and what work it entails.

During day I work as Creative at Wieden + Kennedy making global campaigns,  during night I work as Visual Artist touching different disciplines like Illustration, design, writing,  animation & Music.

How did you discover that the creative world is right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? Which train of events did bring you to where you are today? 

From the early age of 4 I knew what I wanted for the rest of his life, I wanted to work with art and visual communication, so I drew a lot  I went for it finishing high school in an Art School Academy and making my way to a Degree in Graphic Design followed by a Master’s degree in Studies of Visual . 

 

In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how and where do you usually find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?

 

 I can find a lot of inspiration while traveling, and it is essential to be out there and understand the culture and their history context. The world is the best Pinterest board you can find. Right now, I’m working on a  book called Offline, and it celebrates the importance of disconnecting from technology while traveling.

 

If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, especially for the creative work and innovation it required rather than its recognition or industry success, what would it be?

 

I would pick the Citizen Campaign - Chasing Horizons, where we chase the sun around the planet creating a world record and also being featured on Discovery Channel. https://vimeo.com/201230618
