What was your very first job?
Selling premium denim in an independent store. Back when retail was a really different game.
Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails.
At Cloudfactory, I play the creative director digital role, co-creating with cliënts, likeminded spirits, do-ers, makers and creative teams.
How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today?
I loved do-ing and creating already from an early age, as a kid I was playing with photography, music and food. Examples of creative expression were all around there as long as I can remember, credits go to my granddad developing his photo’s in the basement, plus my mother who played saxophone and piano while I was still in diapers.
In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?
By stepping outside of my comfort zone on a daily base. It’s in the small things that inspire. And it’s also in connecting with complete strangers. Plus I’m thankful for my partners who always push the right buttons.
If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be?
This year. Heineken Go Places (HR project) http://goplaces.theheinekencompany.com
