Moses Kelany is a multidisciplinary Design and Art Director at Pereira & O'Dell. Previous to USA, Moses was living and working in Paris. Among his numerous projects at Pereira & O’Dell are Coca-Cola’s first LGBT campaign “True Friendship”,  the controversial pocket Vuvuzela iphone app for the soccer world cup 2010 in South Africa, Callegari Olive oil branding design, the book trailer of the award-winning trilogy Deuses de Dois Mundos (2016), the new rebranding of the Cheesecake Factory and some visuals for Reebok’s live with fire campaign. When not working, Moses enjoys the finer things, art and craft, movies, fashion, technology, shopping for designer shoes, taking pictures and cooking all type of dishes, but please, don't mention the word “bacon” to him.

1.)     What was your very first job? 

My very first ever job was a fashion designer at my own venture in Paris before I even graduated from school.

2.)     Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails. 

Make things beautiful both emotionally and visually. At Pereira & O’Dell, my role is to oversee all the design & brand projects for the clients we work with.

3.)     How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today? 
Life is full of mysteries. It wasn't about right and wrong. It just happened that I was born in an environment that has influenced this choice. As today, I still think I haven't fulfilled that burden.

4.)     In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant? 

First off, you need to live and keep that" joie de vivre" moving.  Inspiration can come from anywhere. And secondly, be willing to learn, dare and explore the world. One of the most important things I learned is to never settle down for what you think you know, to always keep learning. 

5.)     If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be? 

One of the more interesting projects I have worked on was with our Founder, PJ Pereira, on his award-winning book trilogy “Gods of Both Worlds” – which was the #1 Best Seller in Brazil.
