Marc Juon is an Associate Creative Director at Sony Pictures Entertainment. Originally born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, Marc moved to the United States in 1989 and pursued a career in graphic design. Marc has over 10 years of design experience, working for TROIKA, LOYALKASPAR and MOCEAN, developing Brand Identities and Broadcast Packages for UFC, A&E, CNN, Netflix, ESPN Sportscenter, and CBS Sports. He is a graduate of Art Center College of Design and has a film degree from Cal State Fullerton.

1.)     What was your very first job? My first job was as a film projectionist at a movie theater.

2.)     Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails. I help brands establish their Visual Identity through Graphic Design and Animation.

3.)     How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today? I think I always knew in my heart that I wanted to work in a creative field, but it took me a while to discover Motion Graphics, which enabled me to take advantage of my love for film and graphic design. 

4.)     In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant? I pay attention to other works and disciplines. I surround myself with a range of creative people. I ask a lot of questions. I keep an open mind and I always say yes to new projects and opportunities.

5.)     If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be? I had the amazing opportunity to design, shoot and animate the Main Titles for the new “Heathers” series. We created a customizable Opening Title Sequence so that each episode could tell a unique story. It was also a project that perfectly mixed my passion for film, design and 80s nostalgia.
