questionnaire

1. What was your very first job?

I worked as an usher in a movie theatre.

2. Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails.

I am a Photo Producer at Old Navy. I’m involved in every aspect of production, including recommending talent, casting, partnering with photographer’s and line producer’s. I’m always striving to create the most successful teams and enjoyable rewarding photo shoots.

3. How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today?

The creative world is something that you are intuitively drawn to. I can’t remember not ever being attracted to the visual Arts and the creative world including film and theatre. The first time I ever saw a 35 mm camera, I fell in love, I was obsessed by everything photography and it eventually led me to what I do today.

4. In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?

You really need to keep yourself “out there” constantly looking and really participating in the creative community. I love the opportunity to go to Museums and galleries whenever possible. I find mentoring other photographers very inspirational as well. It’s great when you can help someone expand their vision.

5. If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be?

I couldn’t even pick one. I’m proud of so many projects that I have had the opportunity to work on. Each production is unique and had its own special sets of challenges and magic.
