Having spent 20+ years working in the entertainment world in New York & Los Angeles, Julianne is currently the Co-President of BLT+, a division of BLT Communications.  There she oversees a team of fifty passionate Creatives, Storytellers, Technologists, Brand Strategists, Designers, Social and Event specialists.

1.)     What was your very first job? 

At 13 I worked as a waitress for $3.35/hr at a deli next to the Empire State Building.

2.)     Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails. 

My job is to help guide the best campaign creative out of our team for our clients.  All the while trying ensure our employees are thriving and we are maintaining a viable business.

3.)     How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today? 

Growing up my life revolved around theatre, dance, literature, film, television…I don’t think there was ever a time I didn’t know that I would find a way to make it part of my life’s work.

4.)     In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant? 

Coming primarily from a digital background, I have been fortunate enough to be conditioned to embrace change on a daily basis.  I am also open to trying and failing, and learning from those experiences.  So every day for us is a new opportunity to do some new or cool or meaningful.

5.)     If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success”, what would it be? 

Not really possible to pick just one… every day I am proud of the thinking, planning and creative output from our team.
