Embracing themes of catharsis and femininity, nature and transcendence, sensuality and intellectual refinement, the photographic work of Amanda Charchian somehow manages to be simultaneously epic… and intimate. After earning a BFA from Otis College of Art and Design in 2010, Charchian’s imagery quickly gained acclaim as her work has been featured in publications such as Vogue Spain, The Huffington Post, Interview, Glamour, i-D, and Oyster Magazine. Deftly moving from fashion work to fine art photography, Charchian exhibits internationally at a number of high profile galleries. Amanda has exhibited around the world in places such as Singapore, London, Belgrade, New York, Rotterdam, Zurich, Miami, and Los Angeles. Most recently a show of 2015’s “Pheromone Hotbox” at Stephen Kasher Gallery in NYC is currently evolving into the artist’s first fine art monograph due in early 2016 on Hat&Beard. Amanda bases herself between Los Angeles and London.
